Last Day
We are coming to the end of a very busy but very happy half term. Tomorrow is our final day before we break up for the school holidays. Tomorrow, we have the Y6 Leavers Assembly at 9.10 and the Year 2 Graduation Ceremony at 11am (parents and carers of Y6 and Y2 are invited to these two events).
Thank you to all our hardworking staff for making this such a successful year. You really are a fantastic team.
Thank you to all our wonderful pupils! You are all shining stars.
And thank you to all our supportive parents for coming into school for parents evenings, Shakespeare plays, Pirate adventures and sports days!
We hope you have a safe and happy summer break and will see you all again when we return to school on Thursday 3rd September.
Ottani Animati Brass Concert
This week we enjoyed a fabulous concert by the Sicilian folk band Ottani Animati! Their energetic music got us off our feet and dancing! We even danced around school! They were so much fun. You can see Ottani Animati and lots of other fantastic bands at the free Summer Brass Festival in Durham which takes place at the beginning of the school holidays. Well done Year 5!
Attendance Winners
Well done to Year 6 (our attendance winners for this year)! They enjoyed a fantastic trip to Pizza Hut today. Full tummies all around! Thank you to our attendance officer Miss Burlison for arranging the visit.
Partnership Festival
Thank you for everyone’s hardwork in making our Partnership Festival such a massive success yesterday (7.7.15). We are so proud to have hosted the day and thank the pupils and staff of Cassop, Ludworth and Our Lady of Lourdes for joining us and making the day so special. Over 400 pupils enjoyed the Festival which included a range of planned activities including fairground rides (thank you to Turners Funfairs!), sideshows, multi skills and a magician (Magic Mick). Thanks also go to Katie Doherty for writing our amazing partnership song based on respect and to the very creative ladies of Acre Rigg for creating our respect dance.
