At Thornley Primary School, we regard the safeguarding of children as our main priority. We promise our children we will keep them safe and help them to learn how to keep themselves and each other safe. All staff in school access high quality training which helps to ensure supporting the safeguarding of all our pupils is everyone’s responsibility. Children are taught how to keep safe online as well as in the community; visitors to school help them to understand how to ask for help if they are concerned or worried.
We value the children’s place within our wider community and therefore work closely with families and other agencies in order to ensure their safety both in school and beyond.
Please see our safeguarding policy below which is written in conjunction with Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2022).
