Class Teachers:
Hi, I’m Mrs Stephenson and I joined the team at Thornley in 2016. I work in Early Years setting and absolutely love working with the children and finding out about their interests and fascinations. I like to teach lots of subjects and couldn’t pick just one favourite, but I do like to be creative and help the children develop their own ideas, thoughts and opinions. I believe it’s really important to get learning right for every child so that they can all have the best school start.
Hello, my name is Mrs. Reynolds, and I’ve been a teacher at Thornley for more than 14 years. During that time, I have worked with pupils in every year from Nursery to year 6. I have a keen interest in sport and have worked closely with Easington School Sport Partnership, staff and children to raise the profile of sport and PE in our school.
Outside of school, I enjoy going for adventures with my family, spending time in the great outdoors and making memories.
This year, I’m thrilled to be a part of the Early Years team. I am excited to help build a rich and interesting learning journey for our children so they can thrive and achieve their very best.

Early Years Information
Our EYFS team have a wealth of experience in Early Years. Staff all work extremely hard to make the EYFS a wonderful child-centred setting with a real focus on supporting pupils to be confident and independent learners. It is always such a pleasure to walk past the setting and peek in at all the amazing planned activities as well as seeing first-hand pupils being able to pursue their own interests.
If you are a parent of a child in our setting, you may find the following document useful as it gives you a basic introduction to our EYFS.
